1. Overview
WageOwl helps users track work shifts, earnings, and related financial insights. We collect only the data necessary to provide, maintain, and improve the app's features.
This Privacy Policy applies to the WageOwl mobile application and related support communications.
2. Information We Collect
a) Account Information
- Email address (for login and account management)
Current Sign-in Methods
- WageOwl currently supports email-based authentication.
- Apple Sign-In and Google Sign-In are currently disabled.
b) User-Provided Data
- Jobs, shifts, hours, tips, mileage, and notes
- Settings such as vehicle type and cost preferences
c) Device & Usage Data
- Device identifiers and basic usage data (for app performance, analytics, and ads)
d) Payments & Subscriptions
- Subscription status and purchase events are processed via RevenueCat
- We do not store your payment card details
e) Advertising Data
- Ads are served to free users via Google AdMob. WageOwl requests non-personalized ads only, and does not pass user behavioral data to AdMob for ad targeting purposes. Google may still collect certain device information as described in Google's Privacy Policy. Premium subscribers see no ads.
f) Notifications
- If you allow notifications, WageOwl may send local reminders (for example, overtime alerts). You can change notification permissions in your device settings.
g) Backend & Authentication
- Data is securely stored and managed using Supabase
h) Location Permissions
- WageOwl does not currently request location permissions for core app functionality.
- We do not sell precise geolocation data.
3. How We Use Information
We use your data to:
- Provide core app functionality (shift tracking, earnings calculations)
- Sync and secure your account
- Improve app performance and features
- Show ads (for free users)
- Manage subscriptions and premium access
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
We only share data with trusted third-party services required to operate the app:
- Supabase (database & authentication)
- RevenueCat (subscription management)
- Google AdMob (ads for free users)
These service providers process personal data under their own terms and privacy policies.
We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, our services, or others.
5. Data Retention
- Your data is stored as long as your account is active.
- We may retain limited records where required for legal, accounting, fraud prevention, or regulatory compliance purposes.
Account Deletion:
- You can delete your account at any time directly within the app by going to: Settings → Delete Account
- When you delete your account, your personal data, jobs, shifts, and related information are permanently deleted.
- This action cannot be undone.
- If you are unable to access your account, you may request deletion by contacting us at info@wcclabs.com.
- We process deletion requests within 30 days of receiving a valid request.
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
7. Your Rights
All users may contact info@wcclabs.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data.
- If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you may have additional rights under GDPR or UK GDPR, including data portability, restriction of processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
- Our legal bases for processing are performance of a contract (core app functionality), legitimate interests (service improvement and fraud prevention), and consent where required.

8. Children's Privacy
WageOwl is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has provided personal data, contact info@wcclabs.com so we can review and delete it.
9. Third-Party Links
The app may include links to third-party services. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date and, where appropriate, notify you in-app. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. If you do not agree with an updated policy, discontinue use of WageOwl and delete your account.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from this policy or your use of WageOwl will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Pune, India.
